SilverFast gets the best out of your Perfection 4990 Photo / GT-X800. Use our IFF+Engine (Intelligent Frame Finding) to automatically find the frames of your photos lying on the flatbed.
The Perfection 4990 Photo is a good value all-round device, which is considerably upgraded with SilverFast scan software.
Authentic colors: For calibrating your scanner, we recommend our patented and award-winning Auto IT8 Calibration using a calibration target from our own production in combination with SilverFast Ai Studio or Archive Suite.
Note on the Dual Lens System: For transparency mode, the Epson Perfection 4990 features two different focus levels. Select scan mode “Transparency”, if you want to use a filmholder. In this case, the focus of the scanner optics is precisely adjusted to the film holder. Use scan mode “Wide Transparency” only, if you want to place transparent originals directly on the flatbed.

Pomocí volitelně dostupné sady Archive Suite (kombinace programů SilverFast Ai Studio a SilverFast HDR Studio) lze také pořizovat skeny do formátu RAW, aby bylo možné je později zpracovat v softwaru HDR. Díky možnosti skenovat filmy ve formátu HDRi máte možnost optimálně využít informace infračerveného kanálu při následném zpracování. Pro profesionální použití se v každém případě doporučuje použít sadu Archive Suite.
