The Agfa Arcus II is a professional-grade flatbed scanner featuring CCD-based scanning at 600 × 1 200 ppi optical resolution. With a sturdy SCSI-2 connection and built-in 8 W daylight fluorescent lamps, it delivers reliable performance for large-format scanning tasks. The scanner supports both reflective and transmissive media (with transparency holders), and its design accommodates large documents or transparencies up to A3 size. Known for its high color fidelity (approx. 68 billion colors) and a maximum density (Dmax) of around 3.0, the Arcus II is ideal for graphic arts, pre-press, and archival applications.

Pomocí volitelně dostupné sady Archive Suite (kombinace programů SilverFast Ai Studio a SilverFast HDR Studio) lze také pořizovat skeny do formátu RAW, aby bylo možné je později zpracovat v softwaru HDR. Díky možnosti skenovat filmy ve formátu HDRi máte možnost optimálně využít informace infračerveného kanálu při následném zpracování. Pro profesionální použití se v každém případě doporučuje použít sadu Archive Suite.
