The Agfa DuoScan T 1200 features TwinPlate™ technology—dual scanning beds for reflective and transparent originals. Its CCD delivers 600 × 1 200 ppi optical resolution, with maximum output up to 2 400 ppi in color and 3 600 ppi for line-art, and captures rich 36‑bit color (12 bits per channel). The transparency unit scans media up to 4 × 5″, while the reflective bed handles full A4 documents (~21.6 × 25.5 cm). Scans are transferred via SCSI-2. The package includes a universal glass frame, single-slide holders, and optional batch holders for film strips or slides. With D‑max around 3.0 and bundled software—FotoLook, ColorTune, OmniPage LE, Corel Photo‑Paint 8—the T 1200 is ideal for archival and graphic work.

Pomocí volitelně dostupné sady Archive Suite (kombinace programů SilverFast Ai Studio a SilverFast HDR Studio) lze také pořizovat skeny do formátu RAW, aby bylo možné je později zpracovat v softwaru HDR. Díky možnosti skenovat filmy ve formátu HDRi máte možnost optimálně využít informace infračerveného kanálu při následném zpracování. Pro profesionální použití se v každém případě doporučuje použít sadu Archive Suite.
